In our worship services, the word of God is lifted up, the fellowship of believers is strengthened, and the power of the spirit is manifested. The weekly prayers and hymns are an important part of the spiritual life of our worshippers. PUMC has five worship services each week and all include participation of youth and children in the service and in breakout groups.

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22:36-40
And Jesus said, “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”" Matthew 11:28
Recap of 2017 Easter Services
April 9 Passion/Palm Sunday: The Triumphant Entry On Palm Sunday Christians celebrate the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, the week before his death and resurrection. The Bible reveals that when Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds greeted him by waving palm branches and covering his path with palm branches. Immediately following this great time of celebration in the ministry of Jesus, he begins his journey to the cross.
April 13 Maundy Thursday - 7 PM Maundy Thursday commemorates Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples and the commandment to love one another. This will be a beautiful and moving worship experience with the sharing of Holy Communion. It will be a worship service you won’t want to miss!
April 14 Good Friday: A Tenebrae Service - 7 PM Tenebrae is a word derived from Latin meaning “darkness.” Through word and music, this service dramatizes the suffering, death, and burial of Jesus Christ. This experience will add a sense of holiness and depth to your holy week observance.
