PUTTING A FACE ON THE BUDGET
Have you looked into the faces of Prescott's homeless? Have you seen the happy faces of children and youth at camp? The PUMC budget includes help for these people.
Have you identified with our missionaries laboring to teach and heal and win to faith in Christ? Have you been with the United Methodist Committee on Relief when they rush to aid the victims of the Tsunami, the Katrina hurricane, and disasters whenever they happen? The PUMC budget includes help for these people.
Have you been with those in the front line of Methodist advocacy for the environment, peace and justice in the world? Have you been there to start a new church in a burgeoning new subdivision? Support for these causes are included in the PUMC budget. We call it "World Service and Conference Benevolences." Donate at Donate

UMCOR Responds to Texas and Florida Disasters UMCOR is collaborating with FEMA and other national disaster response organizations, including the American Red Cross, Lutheran Disaster Response, Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, and the umbrella group, National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (NVOAD). “The Red Cross national office reached out to us, and we have connected them with the Louisiana Annual Conference leadership, as well as with UMCOR Sager Brown for warehouse space, cleanup buckets, distribution assistance, and shelter for evacuees,” Forrester stated. September Special Offering: Free Wheelchair Mission www.freewheelchairmission.org Free Wheelchair Mission (FWM) provides free wheelchairs to poor and disabled persons living in developing third-world countries. FWM believes that when Jesus Christ lived in this world, He had special love for the sick and disabled. They try to share the same concern now for the poor, especially those with physical immobility. The chairs are individually built from available products (like the plastic lawn chairs) and are distributed free to those in need, regardless of one's religious affiliation if any. This Special Offering will be received the weekend of September 24 and 25.
