Staff Parish Relations
Reflect biblically and theologically on the role and work of the pastor(s) and staff as they carry out their leadership responsibilities. Assist the pastor(s) and staff in assessing their gifts, maintaining their work-life balance, and setting priorities for leadership and service. Communicate with other church committees and the church council when there is a need for other leaders or for employed staff. (Excerpted from the Book of Discipline, 258.2)

Dave Alberts 35-year Celebration
On February 16, 2014, we celebrated Dave's 35 (or 38 if student ministry is included) years in the ministry. Dr. David Heetland, VP of Development at the Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois, presented Dave with a certificate and announced that the "David M. Alberts Scholarship" fund has been created and will be fully endowed when gifts totaling $25,000 or more have been received. If you would like to contribute to the scholarship, please make a check out to Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary with "David M. Alberts Scholarship" on the memo line and send it to

Donations to the David M. Alberts Scholarship have now exceeded $30,000! Since it has passed the $25,000 mark, it is now endowed and will be available for students at Garrett. But please don't let this stop you from making more donations!
